We regret to inform you that we have decided to postpone the Harvest Hamper Trail festival due to COVID-19 concerns. Individual venues will contact guests (including those with pre-booked tickets to events) to let them know of alternative arrangements/refunds etc. Although the festival is cancelled many of our Makers remain open albeit with appropriate hygiene and social distancing measures in place – check individual websites for opening hours if you would like to visit the region. And if you are staying at home please consider visiting our Makers’ websites and buying local products direct from producers online – it’s a tough time for small business at the moment and we value your ongoing support.

Find yourself in the countryside and immerse yourself in the region’s delights – food, wine, mead, pottery, chocolate. Win a hamper of locally produced fare.

 

Events include; Hampers in the vineyard, signature dishes matched with premium wines, live music, pottery open day and sale, bottle your own wine, barrel tastings, chocolate delights, harvest platters on the verandah, dinner and show, locally made cheese platters and winery tours.

Prize Draw Passport

 

Win a hamper of locally produced fare. Get your passport stamped at three Harvest Hamper Trail venues to enter the prize to win one of three hampers. Collect your passport from the first participating venue. Prizes drawn and winners notified seven days after the event.

Four Winds Vineyard

Enjoy a picnic in the vines.

 

This autumn, book a picnic hamper and then make your way into the vineyard to enjoy a picnic amongst the vines. Your picnic hamper can cater for two or up to ten people. The hamper will include dips, cheese, semi-dried tomatoes and artichokes, salami, ham, prosciutto, dolmades, fresh bread and biscuits. Every two hamper tickets includes a bottle of wine to share. Stop by the bar on the way through the cellar door to pick up your hamper, rug, glasses and bottle of wine.

 

You can pick up your basket any time from 10am and return them before 4pm.

In case of wild or wet weather, the hampers can be enjoyed under the hay-shed or taken to an alternative venue (we ask that you return the baskets).

Tour the Sparkling Wine area, see how they are made and what makes them special. Disgorge a bottle and taste the wine before it is finished.  Tours at 11.30 and 2.30 on both the 28th and 29th. Limited spaces available, bookings required.

 

Enjoy Lunch in the courtyard while sipping a glass of wine. Bookings are not required.

 

Mains – Warm your soul with hearty traditional Turkish Bazlama, filled with your choice of either Lamb Iskender Kebab or marinated grilled vegetables, served with dip and salad. $20

 

Dessert- Immerse yourself in autumn with a serve of hand crafted spiced pumpkin tart, topped with Mascarpone and a side of maple butterscotch sauce. $12

Granitevale Estate presents ‘The Granitevale Sessions’. This March experience the bounties of our local singer/song writers and bands as they showcase a range of live music including: Soul/Blues, Folk, Country, Contemporary, Pop and Rock.

 

While enjoying the beautiful surrounds of our fantastic Cellar Door and location, soak up the music and conversation while sharing beautiful wines and savouring a choice of Antipasto Platters for two ($40), Peppered Pork Curry, Italian Meatballs or Chicken Tikka Masala (all $20 each). There will also be a range of desserts to choose from ($10).

 

Music will commence at 11:00am each day concluding at 6:00pm Saturday and 4:00 pm Sunday, with no cover charge. Food will be available daily from 11:00 am.  Wine will be available by the glass or bottle.

Join Shaw Wines owner and winemaker Graeme Shaw for a walk through the Estate’s vineyard. This informative opportunity is a chance to learn about how a vineyard works and how what happens in the vineyard affects the final wines.

 

Then head into the cellar door for a guided tasting through our range of Estate and Reserve wines. Finish the tour with lunch in the Olleyville restaurant or a cheese plate at cellar door. Lunch includes a shared entree, choice of main and a glass of Shaw Estate wine.

During the Hamper Harvest Trail weekend, local artist Ruth Dodd will be showcasing her artwork in the Shaw Wines Shearing Shed Gallery.

 

Ruth studied Interior Design at the National Art School East Sydney and practised as an interior designer before moving into the field of cartography. She commenced painting full-time after moving to a small acreage near Yass, NSW. Her paintings are in oils, watercolours or pastels. The oils are often executed with brush and palette knife.

Back by popular demand, the wonderful Tony King and Nina Vox, AKA, Beautifully Mad will be performing in the new event space at Tallagandra Hill Winery celebrating the 2020 harvest.

 

Australian Songwriter of the year 2009 & ARIA awards winners Beautifully Mad will take you on a breathtaking ride throughout the evening! Expect goose-bumps from the hauntingly beautiful to the wild Hendrix spiked guitar and dirty New Orleans exhilaration of a band possessed. Tony has a reputation for setting fire to a 12 string with his solos, while Nina will melt hearts with her rich, mellifluous voice.

 

Part of the Harvest Hamper Trail, celebrating the end of the 2020 harvest, this is one show you definitely won’t want to miss! (Highly recommend you bring your dancing shoes!) Tickets include 3 course dinner and the show. (Bookings essential). Included in your ticket is a delicious sharing plate dinner. (Please note seating is long tabels and meals will be served shared style).
